Happy GroundHog's
Day! Here in Houston, it's pretty obvious the groundhog won't see
his shadow. right now, it's about 45F and heavily overcast. Not that
that means anything, though . . .
Well, since last
update, we've gone to Baton Rouge and back, and hung out for the Tennessee
/ Houston Titans / Oilers Superbowl. I really was starting to pull
for the Titans in the second half, but they broke our hearts again
this year. I have to give it to them, though -- only one team can
win, and they played well enough to, but just didn't. Oh well -- On
to NFL2002!
Travels
Like I said earlier, we went to Baton Rouge the weekend of Jan. 21
to the 23rd. Dad's birthday was the 24th, so we figured we'd go over
and let him hang out with Jackson a bit. We also got to see Butch
and Barbara (Katie's uncle and aunt) and Jeanne (my aunt / Jackson's
godmother). In all, it was a pretty nice weekend.
Jackson Update
Well, we think he's got a tooth coming in -- he seems to be teething
on rags, clothes, his socks, plush toys -- basically anything he can
get his hands on and stick in his mouth. One night I found him with
his sock off and shoved in his mouth, though, so we don't let him
sleep with socks anymore. I don't want him to choke on it!
He's also started solid foods. Katie decided it was time, and right
now we're pretty much just giving him rice cereal and alternating
jar veggies (squash and something else).
Anyhow, I'll
be traveling for the next couple of days, so I'll post an update early
next week.
