Whew! It's been hectic around here for the past couple of weeks and I just didn't get a chance to update the page -- sorry!

Well, what's been going on? Lots -- last weekend I had a chance to get out of town on the motorcycle for a little while. Bald Eagle and I took a really nice trip to Smithville and camped out at a place called Rocky Hill Ranch. You can read more in the Motorcycle section.

Katie stayed home with Jackson for the weekend, but was busy herself. On Saturday afternoon, she went to the Family Guild meeting (I really wanted to go, it was just the wrong weekend for motorcycle riding and family guilding . . .) She said that the meeting didn't really go over well -- we're not sure if it's going to continue on or not. It seems most people in the guild are still in the formitive part of their lives -- moving, going to school, etc. It's hard to keep a solid group together with that kind of membership base. I think Katie and I will look for a more established group of families to form a guild with. Our hopes are to find a group that we can really build long-term relationships with -- both parents and kids. Anyway, we'll see . . .

Other than that, it's just been a whirlwind of work and family stuff here at the house. A couple of weeks ago, a friend of ours - Sara - brought her daughter Kiara over and we went to the Zoo for a while. I ended up walking out of the house without any bottle for Jackson, so it was a relatively short trip. Although, it was probably long enough for his first time. I've got some photos posted in the photo album area, so take a look.

We also got a chance to visit the Museum of Fine Arts gala opening of the China art exhibit. It was REALLY nice. We were lucky to be able to see it in a relatively less crowded group. I understand that normal viewing is expected to be a mad-house. But it is well worth it. I'm also looking forward to the new building opening in the next few months. They'll have a gala party for that, too.

This weekend, it's a baby shower on Saturday and just hanging out for the rest of the time. I'll probably end up catching up on some work over the weekend, too. And some reading. Next week is the Rod Stewart show at the Rodeo on Tuesday, the dentist on Wednesday and Jackson't 6 month checkup on Thursday.

I'll keep you posted!
