Well, we made it back safely from our big afternoon trip to Mardi Gras on Sunday! Katie, Jackson and I went with our friends Sara, Eric and Kiara to the Krew of Munchkins Parade yesterday in Galveston. The parade was really nice and we caught lots of beads, but Jackson didn't seem to like it much. He started coming down with something on Saturday, we think. This morning when he woke up, he had a 102 fever, so we're keeping a close eye on him.

On Thursday, we went in for his 6 month check up. He weighed in at almost 18 pounds and is in the 60% range for length, weight, headsize, etc. All signs normal! Anyway, we asked the doctor about formula since we want to start weaning him and begin formula. Katie and Jackson both seemed to be getting away from breastfeeding, so it's the right time. After talking with the doctor, we're going with the Carnation powdered iron fortified formula. We figure one can will get us about a week.

Anyway, I went to the doctor this week too -- the dentist for a cleaning. I've got to go back in a week or so to have a loose filling worked on, but all else is fine.

This coming week is going to be a busy one for sure. Tuesday evening, I've got to head up to Dallas for meetings on Wednesday with Lone Star Lube -- one of the larger Jiffy Lube franchisees. I'm going to be getting information on all their existing technology and work up a network proposal for them. I'm also getting all the stuff I need to start on their website. It should be nice.

Then it's a quick trip back to Houston on Wednesday night, then we turn around and go to Austin on Friday for the SXSW Interactive Festival until next week. In between getting back from Dallas and going to Austin, I've got to fit in meeting with my priest, Monsignor Jamail and meeting with a local client on some other business. Well, I'll fit it all in . . .

Don't forget -- Lent begins this week! For the six weeks of Lent, our family guild is meeting once a week to focus on spiritual sharing and faith. Should be good. Tonight, one of the pirests (Father Bubba) is visiting with us and saying a special mass for us.

On a side note, my sister Myra finally got email at her work -- myral@wordofmouthcatering.com -- send her a note.

Anyhow, that's about it. Hope all is well with you folks out there -- let me know what's going on in your world sometimes, too!
