Wow -- it seems like forever since I've had a chance to just sit down and update my own page for once!! Well, it's been over 2 weeks, so I've got tons to share with you all.

As you may remember, I was headed out to SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin on the last update. Katie and I headed out on Friday night after feeding and bath time and we picked up some food for ourselves along the way. BUT it was a Friday night in Lent -- so we had a hard time finding something that would work! By the time we got to La Grange, it was looking like all we were going to find was a Filet O'Fish sandwich at McD's, but we found a drive thru Taco Bell -- bean burritos it was . . .

We finally rolled into Austin about 10:10 and unpacked, got Jackson in his pack n play and hung out with Myra and Kenneth for a little while before hitting the sack.

The rest of the weekend was pretty good -- I did my web stuff at the panel meetings and Katie and Jackson and everyone hung out and enjoyed Austin.

The whole next week was pretty full for us all. I was working like normal -- just with more clients -- Jackson was sick with his first little 'common cold'; and Katie made sales calls during the week and was on call over the weekend.

Over the weekend we had birthday parties on both days -- our friends Sara and Eric's daughter Kiara was having her first birthday party along with our other friends Jake and Dawn's daughter Jessica. Both born on the same day one year ago. We all got together with tons of other Hash friends and had a really nice party. The only problem was that Jackson had to miss it -- we didn't want to spew germs on any of the other kids. Katie and I went in shifts to the party.

Sunday, Katie and her mom went to our nephew Taylor's fourth birthday party at Tom and Laura's new house. I would have liked to go to see everyone and their new house, but we just didn't think Jackson needed to go through all that. He really looked and felt pitiful.

Over the next few days, though, he started feeling better from what we could tell. By the weekend, he looked 98% -- which is about where he is now. Still a little cough, but OK.

Over last weekend, I went out camping with the Texas Interhash 2000 -- which was an absolute blast! I got out to the campsite on Saturday at noon and really enjoyed being with friends -- about 250 of them! The entertainment was great and the people were wonderful. Unfortunately, I had to wake up at 7 am to pack up camp and get back to Houston to go: To Austin!

My friend Darin Darby invited me to join a Fantasy Baseball league and Sunday was draft day. Austin, TX @ 3:30. Back to Houston by 10:15. Long day.

Now it's bust ass at work. I've picked up 4 new clients with 5 projects (at least) in the past 10 days. Good for me and good for them -- but it makes for long hours. And that means . . . Back to work!!

On a side note, my sister Myra finally got email at her work -- BUT IT CHANGED SINCE I POSTED IT LAST -- myra@wordofmouthcatering.com -- send her a note.

Also, don't forget to check out the web cam I recently installed -- it snaps a new picture live every 1 to 5 minutes, depending on how I set it for the day.

Anyhow, that's about it. Hope all is well with you folks out there -- let me know what's going on in your world sometimes, too!
