It's good to
finally sit down at the computer and be able to update you guys --
for the past several weeks, things have just been too busy doing not
much! Over the past few weeks we've done tons of stuff, but in terms
of noteworthy things, well, not much.
Of course, there
was the weekend trip to New Orleans -- that was definately a good
one! Jackson spent the weekend in Baton Rouge with my aunt Jeanne
part of the time and the rest of the time with Katie's aunt Barbara
and uncle Butch. We took an extra day and made it a long weekend --
left to go on Thursday after work, then back on Sunday.
We didn't do
much besides eat, eat, shop and eat -- but that's about all we needed
to do, though. With Katie 7 months pregnant, there wasn't much drinking
done -- by us at least! I can't say that for the rest of Burbon Street
--
The only other
really noteworthy event was the tenth anual Catholic Guilt Hast where
I was one of the hares -- feel free to check out all the photos.
This week is
Haloween and that means getting to the store to get some more candy
and things to make chili (an anual tradition for me). In the coming
weeks I'll be a bit busy with work and trying to learn a new thing
or two on the technology front. On the 7th and 9th of November I'm
heading to Austin for an Oracle developer conference, so that should
be fun -- And the following Friday I'm set to teach a session for
some folks at my company on UltraDev. That's generally not a tough
one -- but teaching tech stuff to a bunch of techies is always a crap-shoot!
I'll be sure
to post the photos of Halloween next week --
Until then,
