As you can see, Jackson had his very firs visit with
St. Nick this week!
I had gone to
the Galleria the week before for a haircut and dropped by the Santa
Photos area just to make sure the ol' guy really looked good -- and
he did!
As you can see,
he's got the real beard and everything. He's also got a great personality
and was wonderful with all the kids.
We got to the
mall in the afternoon and we thought we'd be fine. No lunch crowd
to deal with and all. We changed Jackson in the car into his 'good
clothes' and strapped on a bib, just in case of spewage. Off to see
the Elf.
Well, we were
fine, but Santa was on break for another 20 minutes. We parked ourselves
at the front of the line -- no one else was there -- and Jackson went
happily to sleep.
Well, soon enough
a small crowd started to form behind us and to the side of us -- both
a line and a mass, waiting for the Jolly One to return. Well, when
he got back, we started getting ready -- and so did everyone else.
At one point, no less than two moms were trying to cut in front of
everyone else. Well, I guess that's the way the world works.
So what's coming
up? Well, tonight is Katie's company
party at Brennan's Restaurant (our favorite place), and tomorrow is
Tom and Laura's 101st Annual Holiday Extravaganza! MiMi and Papaw
(Mom and Row) are watching Jackson tonight, and we'll go up to Conroe
after dinner for the evening. Tomorrow, we'll get up, try to take
some family photos and then come back home for a few minutes before
going to our Family Guild party. Then it's off to Carolyn's to drop
off Jackson for a little more quality baby sitting, and away to the
casino party and festivities.
The holidays
are fully upon us --
